In the beginning, there were humans.
They destroyed each other with their weapons of nuclear power, and ruined the world. Nothing but ashes are left of the continents, all gone and lost in the world. Little was left, and the clouds hovered in the sky, blocking the sun. Within days, the world froze over.
It took three thousand years.
The years have gone by, and few animals have struggled to survive. The furred creatures have taken over, such as wolves, rabbits, cougers, elk, caribou, mice, bears..anything that lived in cold weather before could survive now. And so they migrated south, where things were improving. Ice was melting and becoming rivers and lakes, oceans were unfreezing, and life was coming back into Earth.
Two wolves began the war.
A pair, a caring male named Doja, and his cunning, dark mate named Soraja. They crossed an icey bridge onto Australia, which had been completely wiped out, except for the prey that had followed the couple across. Green was coming back to the land, and since the animals had moved from Canada, trees were planted here by their droppings and by their fur. Canadian trees such as pines, oaks, maples, and other plants. It was another Europe.
A place to live, a place to fight.
The two quarreled often, and the female demanded pups. She gave birth to three of them: two males and a female. Furious that there was only one female, she took her she-pup, named Fortuna, and fled to the other side of the continent, where she raised the pup to think of her as a goddess. Doja struggled to raise his two pups, and succeeded. The one male, named Cordio, loved his father so much for saving him that he came to think of his father as a god. However the third pup, Thorn, was unsure of whether to love his father, or his mother. This distanced him from his father, and Thorn left them to find his mom. When he found he was unwelcome there he was furious, and swore never to worhip god, nor godess.
And so, war begins.
As more wolves cross the Ice Bridge to the newly named Takume, the tales of the gods giving them this land spread like wildfire. The grandchildren of the Three God-Borns rule the three packs known as the Dark Brotherhood, the Earthen Ones, and the Sunrise Tribe. The three children of the God-Born tried to understand each other, tried to form an alliance and change their ways. However the now old and bitter Soraja and Doja met in secret, and fought to the death, backed up by their favorite child. All of them died fighting...except Thorn. In the midst of it all, Thorn had committed suicide. Immediately this slaughter was found and the news spread. Each pack blamed each other. The followers of Soraja blamed the Doja followers, and vise versa. The Earthen Ones blamed both packs for starting this in the first place. Who shall you join? Which side are you on? Ready to die for your beliefs? You'd better be.
